Hola mi familia!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, wow. SOO much to say and so little time!
First of all, General Conference!!! Wow, we have a living prophet
on earth who speaks for God. It is so powerful to know that and I feel
so grateful for his counsels and all of the counsels of the leaders of
the church. Now that they gave the leaders the option of speaking in
their native language, I just felt this urgency to share the Gospel even
more and felt the great responsibility to share the message of the
Restoration with EVERYONE. Every conference just keeps making me
realize how the Gospel is connecting and uniting everyone throughout the
world and we are seeing it more and more with the all of the advances
in technology that we have. We have been given SOO much just having the
ability to speak English. The Gospel was originally restored in
English and because of that we have to deliever this message to all
nations and people in every language. I loved every single talk that I
heard and felt such a need to make so many changes to become better and
to do what the Lord wants me to do in my life. I felt like the overall
theme for me throughout conference was the importance of haivng your own
personal testimony of the Gospel, of the reality of a living prophet
today and of the reality of the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus
Christ through the prophet Joseph Smith - having your own personal
testimony of Joseph Smith and the work that He did, being called of God
to do so. I also know that the home really is the place to learn and
apply the principles of the Gospel. I feel so grateful for parents who
taught me the importance of keeping every commandment of God and for
providing me the example of being doers and not just listeners of the
word. I know that I have a great responsibility to do that for my own
future family. I know that President Monson is called of God, that he
truly does have all the priesthood keys and the authority to direct the
Lord´s church on the earth today. What a sacred responsibility that is,
and I will always be grateful for his prophetic counsel. WE NEED TO
FOLLOW THE COUNSELS OF THE PROPHET! If we even question for one second
his counsels or any counsels of the leaders of the church, we are really
questioning God´s counsels. Why on earth would you even think that you
could question the divine counsels that come from the Creator of the
world? I know that we really do need to nurture our testimony daily of
who we are, who God really is and why we are here. None of us is exempt
from the opposition of life. But I know that opposition IS allowed in
lthe world, as difficult and challenging as it can get, to get us on our
knees to ask God for answers to our questions. I know that the message
of the Restoration of the Gospel through Joseph Smith IS proof that God
speaks to his children just like he spoke to them throughout history,
through his prophets in the Bible. We can receive continuing revelation
because God DOES continue to speak to HIs children. We are entitled to
HIs help and because God is our loving Heavenly Father, he wants to
help us. I know the Gospel is true! I love the Gospel with all of my
heart!
