Hermana got to email on Christmas:)

FELIZ NAVIDAD MI FAMILIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This morning they are giving us 20 minutes to write an email to our families.  I'll write more tomorrow on my P-day.  I love you all and miss you!  I know this is where Heavenly Father wants me to be right now.  I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Day!  And I hope that Christmas Eve was so good with the neighborhood and the luminaries :)

Last night, for Christmas Eve, we had a devotional.  David Evans of the Seventy came and spoke to us about the importance of letters and writing your family.  He quoted what Mormon said to his son Moroni (in Moroni 8), after Moroni had been called to the ministry.  I had never thought of this as a letter that Mormon was giving his son, just as he was being called to the work.  What a loving Father to have written such a letter.  Read that chapter.

We also watched the Nativity (the Bible Videos version) - it is beautiful, if you haven't seen it - watch it today!!  And then we watched Mr. Krueger's Christmas.  Also SO good!!  I haven't seen that movie for a while and it touched my heart.  There is a seen where Mr. Krueger is speaking to baby Jesus.  Throughout the movie I had been thinking about all of the people in the world that feel alone, or that don't know about the Savior, or who don't believe in Him and the gift He truly has given to us.  It made my heart sad to think about all of the people who don't know about this eternal truth, that Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world, and that we have a loving Father in Heaven who has blessed us with the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It is such a blessing to be apart of His work, to help others come unto Him.  And we don't have to just be full-time missionaries to do His work.  We can help others come to Him in so many ways.  I am glad you were able to make those visits to Brother Witt, Judy Martin, and the Alts.  I will be praying for them and I hope that they have a happy Christmas.  Also - tell Rudy I say hi:)  I'm glad he could be there with you all on Christmas Eve.  I am grateful for the knowledge and testimony we have of the Savior of the world.  Only through Him and through His restored Gospel can we find lasting peace and happiness during our life.

I hope you all have a fantastic day today and have a happy break!  I will talk to you more tomorrow!  I love you so much!  And Welcome Home Mal!!!  Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love you,

Ashlee
